Nice fluke

My 10 month old woke me up early on Friday - 5:30 am, so after getting him back to sleep, while still in my PJs, I went into the backyard to throw a few casts. On cast #3, I came up with a 24" fluke. He made a tasty lunch - cooked him Asian style with water chestnuts, mushrooms, & asparagus in a garlic/soy/ginger sauce. Also had some whole wheat couscous on the side. Mmmmmm....fluke are tasty.

sadly thats about 3ish inches from illegal! The limit was like 20 1/2 inches when i moved

Fishkeeper1 - the limit is 20.5" - 4 fish per day.

I think it's a little ridiculous considering the draggers take 14", but what can you do against the communist state of NY?

Nice!Havent eaten fluke since I was a kid,used to catch them all the time when I lived on LI

Thats huge I used to live in Long Island went fishing few times for them never caught.
Imagine its starting to cost heating a house by the ocean but must be great to have that as your yard
