Nice pics of a big rtc and some huge paroons!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Speaking of Paroons, my LFS got a shipment of them in - 2.5". Ran out of money after buying my Queen angel. If I can only avoid the LFS for like - 2 weeks, they should be all sold and I won't bring a few home..tough to do though.

They aren't colorful, they don't show much behavior, but feeding time is when these guys get interesting. For those that haven't kept one, I agree with you whole-heartedly. Once you keep one though, it somehow becomes one of the fish that you keep on buying every few years.

Mine did well in my 230 for 1.5 years, and I got rid of him when he was around 20" or so, after my RTC and TSN (among other things) died in the 'Great Accident'.

Who doesn't want to keep a great white shark in their tanks? These are seriously the closest things. You can go marine, get a Lemon or Black-tip shark, or you can get a Paroon. Keep one, and you will find out I compare them. Put a bit of meat in the water, and watch him go. Really cool when he is 12"+.

But please God, give me the strength to fight temptation

is a paroon cat the same as a pangasius?

red tailed cats can be housed in a reasonably big tank.

paroon sharks are another story. they grow big, probably up to 4ft. Not only that, but they are active schooling fishes, which means they are constantly in motion (unlike the red tailed cat). In order to house such a monster properly (multiple of them, actually), you will need a tank size no smaller than your livingroom.

Paroon sharks or the giant pangasius ( PANGASIUS SANITWONGSEI ) they can grow up to 10ft in the wild. there absoloutly huge.

10'?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i thought they only got to like 5!!! ive had mine at this size for a few years, but they are goin to the pond when they get to 24" because they never stop moving!
