Awesome Endlis but doubt they are true albinos.

In my opinion could be two things. Either it's been fed too many color enhancement food giving it more pink/red tint like they do with other many fish in Asia, or the pinkish color could turn more reddish as it gets bigger. I've seen pictures of Endli's that had more red to to them which looked bad arse. In any event very nice pick up as it is hard to find nice size GIRTHY Endli's...

yeah...i had my doubts too but they are cool looking fish...like i said, i've seen many albino oscars with black highlights in their fins...so who knows...but by the pure definition of albino, there should be no dark pigments...

i dont think their color is food induced since they are very pale compare to a regular endli...the difference was very noticable when they were in the tank of other large regular endli...stood right out...

if they do turn red...that's cool too hahahaha...we'll see...

thanks for looking guys

Nice fish.. I love all your collection. But I do question them being "true albino" or just a variant with a pink tint to them. I would think albino would lack any color pigment at all...

Still nice though.. :headbang2
It could be Tyrosinase positive Albinism, which is still a form of albinism

Those a different. Very different!!!

nice thick endlis! i agree they aren't albino. i can see the black eye in one of the pics. they look pale, maybe that has something to do with it. keep us posted on how they color up after they settle.

T+ ALBINO...GOOGLE IT

ok apparently i was thinking about the T- albino. still a T+ albino can't synthesize melanin from what i found, but the eyes in the pic look pretty dark. and one of them has dark stripes, darker than the other two (maybe thats not one of the pink ones you were talking about...i don't know). either way, cool endli.

Hmm, that's interesting.

It reminds me of when I bought some 'super red senegalus' back in '06'.

They were albino sens that had a deep orange color, it was amazing looking. Not long after I had them (a week or two) they turned pale to normal albino sen color.

I went back to the LFS and found some weird orange spongy looking stuff (reminded me of soft bait for fishing) being 'fed' to the tanks.

There were chunks of it in most of the tanks, and I've never seen such impressive oscars, etc.. I was disappointed.

Maybe somebody dropped some pepto in these endli's tank.
