Cool! Craigslist or what?

Nice indeed.I have a few metaframes myself.

Reaseal it and put fish in it.

Weird, I recently saw one just like this in the closet of my buddys place at a party, asked him if I could buy it and he said yeah ten bucks, I'm guessing its a 18-20 ga. Same thing though, metal sides slate bottom, haven't resealed mine but it does hold water, I do want to reseal it. I'm using mine right now for a temp Chesapeake water snake tank.

I'm building a tank for the snake soon, so there's going to be breeding convicts in that, or some puffers

I was gonna suggest the same thing..I finally got around to actually using my 20 gallon metaframe as a growout tank and it started to leak a short while after I resealed it.

Extra thick coat of sealent may work? I was going to make a thread about this tank when I switched it to being a fish tank but if I could just get my info here that'd be great. The old seal is all but completely gone, so a nice thick coat of glue should do the trick. I put water in it over night n it didn't leak how long was yours filled for? Maybe sealing along the edges of the slate trying to fill that space up? You can't tell from the pic but there is a nice lil gap between the slate n glass on mine idk about either of yours.

That's the weird thing about it....I resealed all of the seams-six connection points and their entire lengths and I let it sit for about two days before I filled it...I think it held water for about a month before I noticed it was starting to lose liquid.

Best way to reseal the old slate bottoms is to put a thin piece of glass over the slate. Without it the seams seem to fail.
