Could not agree more. The jag female is eating aggressive and is just absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to go back to collecting all different kinds of castexi again:D
 
Im torn between a pair of tigrillos and otorongo
 
I personally love otorongos but that pictures of the peru flower has me wanting a pair of those now too.
 
The only problem with buying a ray with the otorongo name is you don't know what you are getting unless you see a pic. It seems that the otorongo name gets attached to just about every varient of castexi.
 
If only more people have the tank space to keep them. I've got a star and oto and the oto is one of my favorites. I'll be moving them into my new tank in the next week which is alot deeper so I suspect my male should be able to accomplish the breeding he is trying to do. A 18" deep pond is making it a little hard for him to do. If you have the space they are amazing rays but will return you little money and cost you alot, you need to own them truly for the love of them.
 
Fish dog how often do you see the Otorongo/Jaguar rays similar to the one you have? I would love to a pair as good looking as yours.

Not very often. I had been collecting for 2 years to get this pair I have now. There are so many varients in pattern that is is hard to find ones with clean spotting. I pm'd you some info. The best thing to do is have your money ready, get some importers looking and wait patiently. My problem was I would spend my money on another ray and then when one would pop up I had to watch it go. With any castexi, most are special order.
