I went to the local fun shop and purchased a Romanian RPK and a Romanian "G" AKM-47 today and the damn NICS delayed me so I dropped $1200 today and couldnt bring home my rifles!!!

The people said that jsut about every other person has been delayed this week. They had a stack of firearms that were sold but the owners delayed! Any once else purchase a gun recently and ran into the same problem?

for how long? welcome to my world. 10 days wait regardless

well at least you can still get them.........eventually i think we wont be allowed to own em at all.but then again"allowed to"is not really part of my vocabulary.lol

We had a gun show come through last fall and on its last day practicaly no guns were sold due the 'system being down'.Some people thought that the governor was behind it.

They told me that they (the dealer) couldnt call back for a week but that usually NICS will call them back in a few days. Ive never been delayed before, this is a crock of horse poo.

This is CRAPOLA! I went to pick up the rifles yesterday and I was denied! There is some error and it says I have two felonies on my record. Of course I dont!

A few years ago I had to get a similiar situation straghtened out so I could register to vote. The lady at the FBI told me it could stem from that because alot of times the state will update the error on their end but not forward it to the feds! :irked:Now I have to go through all the BS paper work which inlcudes sending in fingerprints to the FBI. Ive been told it could take 60+ days to get this straightened out! As soon as I do I am NEVER buying a firearm from a dealer again. Only private individuals for no paper trail. This is crazy!!! :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked:

=\

Sorry man...

I gotta say tho, that is an impressive price for those two. Right now, up here, we'd be paying 1k each for those. All the local shops are sending everything to Texas, at least that's what one shop owner told me. The demand there is so high, they don't bother selling their stuff up here.
