I've got one at about 5" also.

What have all of you fed yours? I had two, but one was for a friend and I was just holding it. I had them in different tanks. His ate shrimp. I have only seen mine eat one piece of an algae wafer.. and I doubt the 8x3"+ clown loaches left him much else to munch on while I wasn't watching!

mine feeding with hikari saki sinking pellet..high in protin..
the way they eat is just like sucking everything in...

when they get bigger it's super fun to hold a shrimp or whatever in u'r palm and let em suck it off...it's even weirder when they try and swollow like three of u'r fingers. it doesn't hurt just a really cool experience

you mean your finger inside it mouth? they dun have teeth??

nope...they really don't have any teeth...kinda like a 100yo man suckin u'r fingers but without all the weird parts...lol(eww). kinda like a fleshy vaccuum. pretty cool really

a very nice pc... so how big is your tank...
I put in bare tank with some DW...worry it suck the sand when they eat..

He is in a 750g. He sucks the sand along with everything else then back out comes the sand. He seems to enjoy "sifting" through the sand.

cool idea...i've just never had the guts to go with the sand...i'm sure it'd go right through him if he did eat it...but the rocks he chews through are doing great right now plus they were free.
