Niger Catfish Keeper thread...

Why not they are great fish to keep with other large fish. They help clean the tank by eatting poop ang any extra food that you might feed, they get large but will never eat one of your fish like RTC or TSN. IMO they are awesome.

Ahaha, looks like the Nyger keepers of the world spring to the defense of their fish!
I suppose if I had a huge tank, like in the thousands of gallons, I might have one or two. Not to say I don't LOVE big Cats. But I'm more of a Pimelodus guy. And Megladoras and such.
Nygers are definately cool fish, and maybe I should rethink my statement. If so many people love them then I suppose they must be awesome. I guess I'll never know until I try one!
Here's mine. My daughter named him driftwood. He's 9". I got him in pretty bad shape. the previous owner didn't take care of him. He's fat and happy now.
