Night Crawlers....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm pretty sure they don't actually sit there and count them out for each order. More likely go with a given weight or fill some sort of container. When they say 1000, its means around 1000.

Not gonna name names but when I used to have WC rays that wanted worms I found when I counted my count was far below what I paid for. Told the seller, got the "I don't know what happened, I'll send more free" line.

HAHA, Well Pete send a smoke signal or something if its the guy i just ordered from ...lol

I agree this is probably how they do it, but didnt say how "off" the number was so if significant I would be mad to.

Well now that u mention it i run a few big vermicomposter for my rays, when i do a harvest i can get a few lbs or red worms for my rays. They have a really quick doubling time and i think they make a great insert to a varied diet. there are a few sites u can order them. you may want to check they out. Vistit Red Worm Composting for a general care guide.

Did the nightcrawlers come in yet? I was curious how this vendor worked out for you...

They came, a bit smaller then expected but they said they will plump up over a couple days. They have started to look better, i did not count them bvut its a lot of worms> i will order again

That's good news, I will try them out for my next order, much cheaper.

Just give them shredded newspaper, fruit/veggies, leaves (clean of course) and they should fatten up quickly. I also put dry iguana food in my bin, figuring if they stuff themselves with nutritious pellets it will help going up the food chain :)
