Wondering if a diet consisting of mostly/mainly earthworms would be ok for rays. Personally nightcrawlers and superworms have been the easiest for me to feed and what seems to be getting the most attention from the fish.

Nightcrawler is another name for earth worms.
Its always good to have variety in your rays diet, and if you let them get away with eating only nightcrawlers for a long time your going to find they are addicted to them and will refuse any other food.

all i feed my jack dempsey is bloodworms. he takes nothing else. and its been about 8 months now.
Try dipping pellets in beef blood or wrap in a little bit of hamburger because variety and a balanced diet goes a long way.

I wouldn't get any of my fish hooked on live foods.
Variety is better.

My main problem getting them to wean onto prepared foods right now is that I have like 20 black bar silver dollars in the tank with them and anything that smells good they snatch up pretty fast.
With the live food the ray is super quick to jump on it so the others in the comm don't stand a chance.
