So im thinking of getting the Nikon D90, for those of you that are familiar with the D90, From a scale from 1-10 what do you guys rate this Camera?
This will be my first Quality camera... i know nothing about cameras or photography, but im tired of getting blurry pics of my fishes with my point and shoot digital camera. Time to upgrade... :D
Oh... and does anyone know which website has the best deals on this camera?

From what I hear it's a darn nice camera. HD video, over 900K pixels for the lcd, large screen. what else can you ask for?

heard its really nice : ) but pricey..... i have a D80 myself, and pretty pleased with it even though i havent fully figured it out how to use yet xD Nikon is a good brand, and i wouldnt get canon cuz nikon seems more pro looking xD ... and isnt that the one that comes with HD video cam??

I have a d40 and love it. the d90 is very nice. I would reccomend the canon xsi rebel though for taking pics of fish. my mom has one and I use it sometimes, because it just takes much better pics than mine. the xsi is gonna be my next camera upgrade.

I've used a D40 before and liked it a lot, so I can imagine the D90 is even better. I had a chance to enter a contest to win one, but I ran out of time.

You might want to buy the body only and get a lens on the used market. I'm shopping for one myself. The kit lens seems to cost more if you were to buy the two separate. What prices have you seen?

The D90 is awesome, but don't expect for it to give you awesome pictures right off the bat. You'll have to learn how the camera works and what the functions do. Sometimes people are really disappointed when switching from a point and shoot to a DSLR because the DLSR is a lot less forgiving. Auto mode will give you pretty decent results out of the box, but if you're only going to use auto mode you wont see a huge difference in the quality.

Do lots of homework:D

Very true. It took me a while to get used to my DSLR, but it was worth it! Reading the manual is a must, so is experimenting.

D90 is a great cam... if u like nikon, I prefer canon. In the end the difference between nikon and canon is really just the brand name and a few minor details.
