Nile perch pics and a question?

$180 is quite high for the price compared to here in the USA. But then again depends on the shop. a LFS of mine has one about the same size of 5-6" and they want $175, but then again they charge a lot for everything in the store.

its US$80 for a 8-9" nile perch here...

personally dont find the price tag worth it as they turn silver just like their cheaper cousins Lates Calcifer

Are talking about one of the nile perch varients from niger? They also are reported to only grow to about 40" instead of 80".

but i have seen a calcifer w purple shine...

Anyone has tt variant from niger?

I also have a nile perch var from niger (but he is still small and has not gone through the color change yet) and I have another Varient comming soon that originates from nigeria, they both are supposed to have a distinct color difference to the great nile perch.
