Hey these r oner of my fav cichlids, and i cvan figure why more people dont keep them, is there any on this board who has them.

Where did you get them from? I may want to get some also. I'm local so I know all the area stores. livingstoni are my favorites but those are hard to find, probaly why most people don't have them.

Fuscos are nice. I like them myself. I think the reason why I don't have one is simply because it doesn't get big enough not to get eaten or mauled by my other fish.

In case people don't know what they look like, here is a beautiful male specimen.

If you like these guys you should look into the Tyranochromis species.

i just won some on aquabid, but you can find them seasonal around the area every now and then,a place called world wide aquarium & pets in upper darby usually has them

What kind of fish do you have? My fusco is about 10 inches at 1 year old. He is the biggest and most beautiful fish in my tank. You should think about getting one. They are some sweet fish.

Hello Chugger, I'm a newbie to this site so take it easy on me :). I'm happy to announce I have a trio of Fusco's and was temporarliy housing them in a 55 gallon and they spawned for the first time yesterday to my surprise. I've never done a large Hap like these so I'm looking for any advice on how to proceed i.e. should I move the ohter female and the male? should I let her spit naturally or if I have to strip how long should she hold? Thank You, Bob

Ive got one, had him for about a year and is about 6 inches. Most beautiful fish i have ever seen, but damn he can be aggressive especially toward smaller cichlids. I think thats why not many people have them. Either that or theyre just rare. I also have a Livingstonii, also a really nice lookin fish. I want to get a venustus and possibly a polystigma. The nimbochromis genus is awesome!
