"He" looks pretty ready to lay eggs, male livingstoni usually tend to have a super bright orange anal fin at a younger age.
Sigh. Transitioning to an all male tank is not easy. I was looking at the egg tube tonight and thinking maybe he was transgender.

I am guessing that this is a fish that should be removed from the tank? I really enjoy this one and would prefer not to have to get rid of it. I do have several other male haps in the tank though Will she cause aggression problems down the line?
If you like the Livingstoni, keep her. Adjustments can be made later if things start looking bad.

So update on this fish. She is now holding, I believe at this point just eggs. There is not a male livingstoni in the tank but there are several male Haps present. Could the eggs be fertilized by a random fish or are they most likely infertile. In the past I have always had Mbuna and I know they cross breed like crazy. Fairly new with Haps.
