Nine Spot ShovelNose?

What species is the Nine Spot ShovelNose?

I have been looking for info on this fish. My LFS has one and is acting like Hell will freeze over before he can get me a Lima ShovelNose. How big do 9 spots get, any info would be helpfull. Also he want $52.00 for a 6" speciman is that fair?

i've never heard of a 9 spot shovelnose

are you sure it isn't one of those names LFS make up to sell fish better?

i think they get up to 20 inches, but im not positive

They stay pretty small. Not sure how well they gow with pbass as I have no expirience with pbass, but something seems iffy with the max size of a pbass vs. porthole

It isn't a TSN its just a shovel nose cat. More like a lima then a tiger. You probably ment shovelnose but just clearing it up.

Hm, anybody have any adult pictures of that cat?
