Nice math! Doesn't 20ppm nitrate in tap water sound high?

The EPA level for drinking water is 44 ppm (10 mg/L nitrate as nitrogen).

They also found radon in our water. The local water company had to shut the well and import water from another town to meet the needs of the company. I guess in a couple weeks I should have glowing goldfish.

i agree on that  from what we know nitrate is good bacteria for fish but too much is bad... what about for humans? here in California i have zero on all nitrate, amonia, and nitrite straight from the tap water. though our body can resist a lot of disease (if you're in good health) i still want to check why the nitrate is 20 on straight tap. :screwy:
