Nitrate is still 5.0ppm?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, 5ppm is awesome. It will always grow until you do another change. Water changes every 3 days are keeping it down well for you.

Your good. More than good. If you want to extend your water changes get some plants for your sump and or your tank.

5ppm and not changing might be just an incorrect reading. 5ppm is hard to do with a tank that has any reasonable stocking levels. What test are you using? If the API liquid test are you shaking the bottles half to death first?

my tank is 125gal with just a jardini. I have 2x110 aquaclear and 1x fx6. Im using API liquid tester. I have 1x bag of purgeon on each aquaclear and ceramic ring + spronge. For my Fx6 I have 1 full tray of Maxtrix, 1 full tray of ceramic ring and 1 tray of spronge + 1 bottle of purgeon. so my only other way is to put some plants?

It's already lower than u need. U cant keep it at 0 unless u are going to replace 100% of your water every day and load it with plants lol.

Dude, have you not read any of the posts? Nitrates at 5ppm is fantastic!

If you still want to obtain 0ppm, then sure, knock yourself out and stick some plants in there

Ok, you may have read all the posts, but apparently you don't seem to comprehend what's being stated.

Skalper666 already mentioned another way of maintaining 0 nitrate.

Btw, were you trying to spell "hostile"?
If so, I wasn't being hostile just bewildered lol
