If you test your tap water for nitrate you can see what a decent level would be. Mine comes out of the tap at 40 so I figure if I am in that area before water changes I am okay. Many people don't even realize that their tap water has nitrate so they worry when their tank has a nitrate level of 60 because they assume it is supposed to be minimal after a water change.

Did yu do any waterchanges during the cycle? Id would also test the tap water to se if there is any NitrAtes in the tap water to start with.
anyone ever use fluval or nitra zorb? I was thinking of giving nitra zorb a shot but wasnt sure if it was worth the 16 bucks. Also if you have used it how many recharges do you get out of them?
