The ferts tabs you used contain soluble potash which is essentially potassium chloride. If it goes in the water column it can be harmful to stock. It raises the salinity level of the water. If those tabs dissolved immediately, think if it as dosing salt in your fresh water tank with corys and rams. Both pygmy corys and rams would be very sensitive to that.
It is especially harmful to shrimp.
I would never use that in my tanks as a source of potassium.
