Trying to setup a 46gl bow to accommodate my at least 8" Dojo. He grew up on a long 20gl, and needs more room.
The problem is that I have cycled this tank fishless for 2 weeks, and another 2 wks with 2 large angels to try to get the bacteria moving. I'm running an emperor 400 and have added Prime and Stability throughout the cycling time. While my ammonia is fine, nitrite has not come down to normal. ( Still very purple).
I started another emperor on my 120gl cichlid tank, so I can build more bacteria. The new emperor is only running for 1 wk on the established tank. Should I move the second emperor over to the 46 or still wait? I also ordered Matrix, but did not get yet.
Need to get this tank going so the dojo can have more room..

A couple more questions..

I have 2 filters running the 20gl. Is it worth move one filter into the 46, since the filter is already established??

Also, I believe the angels should be OK with the Dojo. Correct??

Thanks for all the replies..

Adding the filter from the other tank will help, sounds like it will converting into nitrate soon. Just watch how much you are feeding. Why didn't you wait for the fishless cycle to run its course? :)

I'm not sure but the Angels, and Dojo may have different temperature requirements.

I thought by adding a few fish, would not hurt, and speed up the process. I guess , I was wrong.. I think that second filter from the 20 will be the best option..

If already cycled yes. I've learned patience pays off, I'm older now lol.:)
