add a pack or 2 of bio spira and some seachem stability...

But if there is not enough media to support his bacteria colonies, I'm not sure this would be helpful.

I'm thinking he has enough media but there just wasn't enough bacteria on it. With his growing stock list growing as fast as it has in the last couple of weeks your filtration couldn't keep up with the waste created. You know what I mean?
There was only enough bacteria grown to control the waste of the smaller stock list. (I don't even know if I'm making sense anymore)

I don't know add more media or an FX5 that should help.

I guesss it must be nitrates. Step up the wc's ( it is only till the new tank is ready ) and cut agressively on feeding.

try this before selling, Michael.

Miguel, Michael is a hoarder. He just keeps jammin more fish in.

Yes your still making sense, It was my assumption that he's had this tank(and stock) for a couple years. But if it is as you stated and the stock was greatly increased, the tank could still be adjusting the the increased bio load.

YUP! What you said.

Michael may be a hoarder, but he knows exactly what to do...and it seems to me he started acting as soon as needed...

For the most part I would consider myself somewhat of an "experienec" fish keeper and I was really looking for some people to reach out with a possible option to fix this when I really know the answer. My sump is large enough and loaded with media from sintered glass, to lava rock, to bioballs, and eheim mechanical stuff and other stuff as well. The real only answer is for me to take some fish out. I have way too many fish in this tank. I have been grabbing them as they come thinking if I didn't I may not be able to get them again and knowing I have the bigger tak set up soon and I have just jammed too many large fish in a smaller tank. I think I have it all figured out without getting rid of any fish so... ;)

Does it keep a pretty constant ph? Never used it before
