wait this makes no sense, u want to trade a gecko that doesnt eat for one that does? i mean i congratulate u on ur honesty, but really?,
how will a non eating female contribute to somones breeding project. you should offer it free to someone who might better be able to coax it to eat

Gee, thanks.

At least I type out the word "you".

First of all, I said I want a TEMPORARY trade if possible. And believe it or not, but there are people who would take her to just try and get her healthy again. Second of all, just because someone has a female that's capable of breeding doesn't mean they're in a breeding program. She could just be a pet of breeding age. It's not that easy to spay a reptile, you know.

I'm not offering her free because what does that do to help my project? Absolutely nothing. I'd be short one female and I doubt my dad's willing to pay another $75 for a new one.

Have you tried wax worms? I've had leopard geckos in the past that refused to eat, but none could resist wax worms.

Yes, I did. We tried crickets, wax worms, meal worms, mega worms, butter worms, everything. Nothing has worked.

what temp is she at?? night heat?? overhead heater or under the tank??
what was her usual diet and was she supplemented with calcium and a god quality multi vitamin ??

We can't actually tell what the temperatures are, because it's impossible to find non-aquatic thermometers around here. She does have night heat and the heat comes from a heat lamp. (2 different bulbs).

I appreciate all of the help for her welfare, but I really need a female to breed with. There's no chance of me getting her back up to full health AND in breeding condition in time. If someone's willing to make a temporary trade, I'll be sure to check/do all of this when I get her back.

Have you tried soaking the various worms in garlic extract?

I know it seems weird... but you never know.

o_o

No....why? What would that do?

well i dont think anyone is going to trade a nice fat healthy female for a skinny not eating probable male for one females are worth more money even if they where both healthy maybe if you added some money into the mix you may have better luck

I never said "probably" male, i said "possibly" male

And for the last time, it's TEMPORARY

One breeding, just for a school project! Then you'll get her back!
