SCORE! I found 1mm New Life Spectrum sinking pellets at my local Petco today! No more ordering & waiting! Just FYI.

A friend of mine told me about that recently. I haven't been to my local store to see if they have my flavor yet though. Now it seems I can't help but go to Petco......as much as it hurts to do so!

a petco just moved within walkin distance of me and its a great one! dont have to drive 20 mins any more to get crickets lol. i recently saw NLS and monster diets at our new one.

OMG! I am so down with that. NLS ftw! Always wanted to read the ingredient label and see what's in it.

Typical Ingredients: Whole Antarctic Krill Meal, Whole Herring Meal, Wheat Flour, Whole Squid Meal, Algae Meal, Soybean Isolate, Beta Carotene, Spirulina, Garlic, Vegetable and Fruit Extract (Spinach, Broccoli, Red Pepper, Zucchini, Tomato, Pea, Red and Green Cabbage, Apple, Apricot, Mango, Kiwi, Papaya, Peach, Pear), Vitamin A Acetate, D-Activated Animal-Sterol (D3), Vitamin B12 Supplement, Thiamine, DL Alphatocophero ( E ), Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Niacin, Biotin, Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, L-Ascorby-2-Polyphosphate (Stable C), Ethylenediamine dihydroiodide, Cobalt Sulfate, Copper Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Choline Chloride.
Could do without the flour and soybean, but not bad. Vitamin A acetate is the cheap, most toxic version of vitamin A. I wonder why they used it over palmitate or carotene. I do like the ferrous iron and other minerals, though. Seems fairly complete. I think I would feed it to my fish.

Its quite a trip to see what they put in there. Lots of whole seafood, fruits & veggies. I didn't see any Monster Diet & my local store only had 1mm NLS "cichlid" sinking pellets, but my CL's dont seem to care whats on the label...they just suck it up like crazy & beg for more!:headbang2

Not a problem. My 11+ inch Oscar still eats betta bites. He thinks he's a filter feeder.

Its not cheap! I paid 10 bux for the 150g (5.3oz) size, but that should last a few months with my rotating feeding schedule. I didn't check for 5lb buckets....

Just an FYI. 150 grams is equivalent to right at 1/3 of a pound. I recommend going for the buckets although Petco will probably not carry the larger sizes or buckets.
