NLS Float thoughts

Isn't jumbo the 4.5mm and extra large 6mm?

Other way around. Extra large are 4.5mm and Jumbo are 6mm. Expiration on the jumbo is in a several years so if he does not take them, I will bite the bullet and order the smaller pellet.

I must've mixed those up..
General rule of thumb is to get smaller sized pellets if in doubt :)
Or you can try breaking the 6mm pellets into smaller pieces before feeding..

The Float formula sizes changed approx a couple of years ago.

He keeps hitting the whole pellet but doesn’t swallow. So far he refuses to hit the pellet broken into piecses which is weird, but I’ll leep trying.

I’ve just wasted so much money on pellets. Couldn’t get samples anywhere for NLS. I’m going to let him go hungry a bit longer and see if he takes it or not. I wanted to avoid sinking pellets to have an easier time with clean up.

Are hikari carnisticks that crappy btw? NLS can’t be the only healthy food out there.

How are sinking pellets a pain? Feed one at a time until he eats them. Ditto to floating. How long have you been trying to get him to eat them?

I have red fluorite substrate. The pellets fall between and due to color it’s like where’s Waldo. I don’t want excess pellets in the tank, with floating he gets them all and I fish out if I want.

It’s been 2 weeks since he has eaten anything. Took about this long to get him onto hikari.

Ok, makes sense. Good luck converting him.
