Nls mega fish...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most the NLS I have used are solid... there was a "new" batch of NLS Thera+A I got that was more porous looking and also broke apart a lot easier than the norm.

Smell wise I only notice with the Thera+A all the rest seem to be fine.

Really? I have the opposite problem, bought a bin of Thera a a couple months ago, broke apart easy enough, porous, smelly garlic. Now a week ago I got another bin but this time it was Rock solid, smelled kind of off, fish don't like it, and was it was even half the size of the previous batch, yet the labels(down to the pellet size/ingredients etc) were identical. Kinda weird

Hmm... never had that problem. NLS pellets seem very hard to me and my fish love them. They are stinky (especially the Thera-a) but so is massivore. I fed some massivore to the fish in my room left and came back wondering why my room smelt like a fart! Hope NLS isn't developing a quality issue! I got a couple buckets I bought recently and I want to check it out, but they aren't open yet and i've still got some pellets to go through.

I carry all of the NLS formulas in bulk (except the 6mm TherA) , and have seen no change in color, or anything else.

Jesse - as I told you last week you should contact New Life, I'm sure they will want to see the pail & contents & will most likely refund you with a new one. sales@nlsfishfood.com

The office manager should get back to you early next week sometime, it is the weekend afterall. :)

Jesse,
Not every batch of food will look identical due to manufacturing process such as pressure, cutting speed…etc. A year ago, we took out the soybean, reduced the wheat flour and increase the amount of krill. We haven't change the formula since then. I don't know how to address your concern?
Pablo

This is the response I got..

I just picked up a 10oz jar of the 6mm NLS Thera +A. Went for Massivore but LFS was closed and Petco didn't have it. NLS is very dense and stinky, but it sunk like it should and didn't just fall apart like the Wardleys shrimp pellets I have been using. My fish went crazy over this stuff. I haven't seen them this active at feeding time EVER. They normally get Tetra Min tropical flake, Wardleys shrimp pellets, occasional frozen blood worms, and cucumber for plecos.
