I have been thinking about offering it to newly purchased cichlids. I have been reading about the garlic content and anti-parasitic defense. Does anyone else use this? Is it really that effective? You never know what new fish might have.

I'm not sure if it really helps anything, but I feed it to my Malawi cichlids, polleni and the thorichthys ellioti that I recently got. They all eat it really good. I usually keep NLS hex shield on hand for illnesses since it contains metro.

If want to treat for flagellates and organisms that cause intestinal disorders while the new fish are in quarantine, then you should purchase NLS hex shield. After the treatment period offer the Thera A+ as regular food.

Thanks guys, right now I feed NLS chichasoma formula. I am going to look into hex shield, though it's not availabile where I live. I have to drive 30-40 min just to even find NLS foods.

Its always been impossible to switch my fish over to nls, not sure if anyone has had the sme problem
