NLS vs Hakari

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i use hikari mainly because if floats and stays floating so i can remove un eaten food easily, i also find hikari doesnt pollute the water not saying nls does mind as i havent used it as its like hens teeth in the uk lfs!

personally i dont think theres much in them, they are both good quality staples.. better to mix up their diet anyhow, personally id like to feed live crickets more along with the seafood that some of mine eat and the butti and gg eating everything from lettuces, cucumber to starwberry and tomatoe lol...

I feed everything. Currently on my food shelf i have NLS, Hikari, Omega One, Kens Fish, ZHF Carnivore and frozen Blood Worms and Krill in the Freezer. I try to change it up as much as possible.

It will take your fish a little while longer to get used to NLS, which is why a lot of people say their fish don't like it. Like others have said, it is a lot more dense. Overall though, NLS is a better food IMO. Now I'm out of here, because this thread is likely to go the way that all of its counterparts have.

I don't mind using either but NLS really makes your tanks stink of garlic even with regular water changes

I switched all my fish over to Xtreme aquatic foods which has a better ingredient list than both hikari and nls i use the big fella and monster varieties
