when i get my 75g, can i take the biobag from my established tank and put in the new filter and take one of my sponge filters and consider the 75 cycled? and would this create a mini cycle in my established tank?

It could be. I would still take it slow and put a few fish at a time in the 75 and keep testing the water.

I would also check your established tank. I removed an entire media tray from one of my xp3's on my 125 and the tank params didn't change one bit.

I do that all the time. Just make sure you're not going to have a higher bio-load than what you had before on the 2 filters combined.

Established filter = established tank.

Most "advanced" aquaculturists use the method you're describing as opposed to "cycling." (mostly because "advanced" aquaculturists tend to have dozens of tanks!). You should start fairly small and stock gradually (check ammonia frequently), but you can definetly start soon and probably stock faster. Have Fun!

If your adding new gravel or sand substrate you will still get a nitrite peak since these new surfaces (including the new tank itself) will grow nitrifying bacteria. Adding the cycled filter is a great kick start though.
