chesterthehero does really deserve that BRAVO from DR J. You got a good plan with waterchanging and you think of water to your fish as the air we breath. I like that kind of thinking because fish don't have a choice of the water they swim which is sort of like we don't have total control of the air we breath in. There are preventative steps to make water and air cleaner so we can live a better life. Also, every geographic location has different minerals and chemicals in their tap water system. I usually add dechlorinator in a 35 gallon trash can full of water then use a pump to transfer it into the tank. On the another tank inside the house that is not easily accessable to a water hose I just add dechlorinator directly into the tank then drag a garden hose into the house to fill it up.
I bet this new waterchange setup sure beat the bucket system and make waterchanging less of a chore.
