no more feeders

Wow...at that size, it may be a bit tricky to get it off live if it's been on feeders this whole time. Just keep up with the pellets and it'll eventually realize that the pellets are edible when it sees the other fish going after it. It'll learn to eat them.
 
You probably infected your fish because you left the feeders in too long. If you simply plop in one feeder every night and take it out if the knife doesn't eat it you'll never get infected again.

Or you could just practice responsible fish keeping and quarintine and treat the feeder fish for fungus and parasites. And then you will never have another problem feeding live for the rest of your life.

And you won't have to starve your fish until they transform to what you want them to eat.
 
mines eats pellets and feeders. i give it spirulina sinking pellets. my mate just got his 24" ck off feeders and onto frozen prawn.
 
I had 1 that I could not get off feeders, he was about 13-14 inc. and when hungry would chase my other fish that were 7-10 inch range snaping at them and taking chunks off them, I didnt raise just aquiried him, ended up at my lfs with others like him & all they feed is feeders in that tank. So hes happy I think.
 
umm, try your luck with some frozen shrimp, if not even some other fish meat...

PS: try to wean them onto prepared foods. My BGK eats flakes from my hand :)

mine does the same thing thats why i have to find a food he likes soon he alred took a chunk out of my oscars face.
