NO MORE FISH!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Old news. We'll see where the world goes, but it's not looking good.

Should be a good movie. I'll try and see it.

I can tell you where its going. Its going to a fish free ocean.

The greed that is so rampant amongst the commercial fishermen, and the politicians regulating them will probably deplete the ocean of consumable fish with in my life time.

I am up to my eyeballs trying to collect the data that is needed to proove the blue fin tuna stocks are already beyond rescue, but the flippin regulators want so much data before they even think about modifying catch limits that the fish will go extinct before the data can be collected. The politicinas ignore the scientists, the fishermen pay (and vote for) the politicians to keep the regulations so that fish can be caught so they can make more $$..... but look at the ocean?

Its not a joke, its not beinng overplayed, its not even being noticed..... the average American doesn't live in the ocean, and doesn't see it. The fish stocks will not recover. That is a fact. And at this point it is as though ICAAT and the FAO are setting up the limits in such a way as to speed up the depletion until it hits its finite end as it already knows that recovery isn't an option.

Unless the Blue Fin tuna and mackerel fishing STOPS in its entirety in the very near future, I will see BFT become extinct before I retire. What the darn politicians don't recognize is how tightly the mackerel fishing has to be controlled in order to save the BFT. If they stopped the BFT fishing (which they won't) but not the mackerel fishing, the BFT would still go extinct.

I'm so scared for our future. I seriously stay up at night worrying sometimes about the state of our environment.

i hope in heaven its like earth, only the environment is perfect....
and i hope there are monster aquaria in heaven....

That is a good writeup on the BFT but right now I am more worried about our Widebar datnoid and then asian aros....

Call me crazy but those just seem to take precedence over BFT.

To the Modern Fish Keeper Dats and Asian Aros are important but one must look as BFT are Important to large ocean predators such as the Great White also Cetaceans are principle here imagine the implications no BFT no Orcas,Dolphins,White Sharks, etc....A Massive Domino Effect. We have no idea the webs that are weaved in nature. Mariatus Island popular home of the Dodo and Elephant bird, foliage depended on dodo's to spread their seeds without them they loose their genetic diversity....Australia its large habitat was changed forever.......I think one gets the picture one little blip to us is a giant hole to the enviorment. It needs to change.

BFT are Awesome... if they were gone I would be... :(

I would be unemployed! But honestly that would be the least of my worries. A world with out fish would be so unbelievably scary.
