Wow really both fish are pretty , but I would have gone with the JD never had any knife fish but I'd like to soon.

Reading this thread makes me sad over my clown knife. He was just over 22" when he died. I got him when he was only 4". He was 8 years old and at that time I didn't know it but I wasn't the best fish keeper.

I had him in a tank with 2 Oscars and 3 Parrot fish. I had him eating those alge discs and feeders. He ate 2 oscars and 2 plecos as well. I would have another again, but I would also try one of the other knifefish as well. Mine had two full rows of dots on each side.

I have been interested in trying JD's though. You'll like the CK though.

That's a tough one...the JD is gorgeous...and that CK is one sexy fish! If you know the JD is in good hands and you got yourself an impressive CK, I think you made a good call! :)

Ya I'm not really so regretful anymore.. I felt like the JD was nice looking but didn't fit the type of community tank I wanted to do (xtra lrg oddball) but reading all these comments def. made my trade well worth it tanks!! Here's an update of my beasts (ya my tanks overwrowded hahaha) I'll try to throw in a video of the whole fam.
