He didnt net them he just waded after them and grabbed them, he was using them for lobster hop nets

wow....cheap way to get fish lol. I know a mate who fishes for tuna and gets $100 guarentted a day and $300 per fish caught.

thats awesome, i wish the tuna made it a bit further north so i could grab some!!

ugh people these days did you not read the article?
"Carlson theorizes the tuna escaped from one of the tuna pens floating off the coast of northern Baja."
The Bluefin tuna is in big truble and I wouldnt be surprised to see its name on the Endangered list very soon. The fact that it was legal for him to just take a game fish like that no matter how it got there just blows my mind. Stupid people doing stupid things is what this is an example of. The live/ struggling tuna should have been gathered up and let back to the ocean.

Well dont be surprised its about to go CITES Appendix 1 soon, also its perfectly legal, you can keep up to 10 tuna and he didnt use and nonallowed methods of capture. Personally i think good for him.

Personally I think any fish caught with your hands that is a game fish like this should be released. You dont just wade a river when the salmon are dieing and pick them up. Here in MI it is illegal and it should be else where this is why things are so messed up.

I believe it is illegal in most almost all places to wade in freshwater and catch fish by hand...but i think saltwater is a different story
