No power= the suck haha

Well not sure if anyone else on here is from the mass area but we got hit hard with an ice storm and i was without power for 3 DAYS!!!!!!!:irked: got it back today at 1130am.

Let me just say its been the most unpleasant 3 days of my life. no power, HEAT or water. not fun.

The herps are fine. i moved my rhino out to the one spot in my house that had heat and it wasnt much and ive spent about $30 on those little hand warmers and i managed to keep his temp tank that he was in up to around 75*. my big guy was out free roaming and i also kept him near the one heater that was working.

My fish on the other hand didnt fair to well. my tank was fully stocked and i lost everything except my two pikes, and a catfish:irked:. needless to say its been the weekend from hell.

My brother also lost ALL of his fish. in total between the two of use we probably lost about $300 in fish stock.

Anyone else here from the mass area?
 
oh man Im sorry to hear this.I get attached to fish so I would hav been just as pissed.Really sorry man.
 
lets just say when i walked in my room and i saw my flowerhorn just sitting on the bottom i was less than pleased lol. i cant even begin to explain how pissed i was. i just left the house and went for a drive, used some herbal remedy to kind of calm myself down lol. came back home and attended to the rest of the animals.


But yes the fact that all the herps made it is good. i got real worried last night. friday night wasnt a big deal. the hosue held in alot of heat so that helped. but it got real cold yesterday, and last night was terrible. my parents wanted me to go stay somewhere else with them. guess it doesnt matter how old you get they still treat you like a kid haha.
but i refused because i didnt want to leave the herps unattended.. so i froze alone, but the beer was nice. didnt have to leave the couch to get a new one. my house was my fridge haha:WHOA:

yea when i got to school we were there for only a couple of minutes when a telephone pole went down and we lost power for like 1/2 the day
 
Oh men that sucks sooooooooo much:( That kind of thing happened to me a copple of times simply not in such a large period. If I were you I think I would have don things a bit diferent;) I would have wrapped both igs in warm blankets and would have brougth them with me to my parents place. That nigth both igs would have sleept in my bed with me(or should I say they would sleep, I would stay rater awaken so not to skish them or anything) a good old herp guy trick to keep your herps warm. Wach out for the claws:D It aind dificult to do, once ligths are out igs fall asleep. Sorry however for your fish. Thats why I like turtles better then fish, they are so dependent on electricity. Well it seems that your ready for a colection makeover once this is over and perhaps I can make you get some turts;)
