Noisy eaters

I remember my wife's disgust when I first met her and took her to the LFS just in time to see the owner chucking some live yabbies into the large cichlid display tank and hearing "oh my god, gross, I can hear them crunching" as the feast commenced.

How does she get along with your fish?

I've seen a lot of people complain that their partners are not as keen on fish as they are. In my case it's my parents. No fifth tank for me.

+1 on the bala sharks. When they get to chomping on the tank walls or bottom for algae they produce a quite audible click or even "bang".

+2 on the balas....yes, the kissing noises when they eat lol. And yes, I can hear my larger cichlids chomping their pellets .

She's not too bad, she's actually got her own small betta tank now. She thought it was a very strange hobby when we first met.
We moved house a while back and I haven't set up any of my own tanks yet, I can imagine a bit of drama is on the cards when I get around to it.
When I was your age my parents stopped it for me at 4 tanks too, I had a 4 foot community, a 2ft where I put all the angels fry when thy bred, an axolotl tank and sadly another 2 foot with a red devil in it! We live and learn.
