I have a similar problem with a new Eheim Pro3 2080.DasArab;659998; said:Sounds like an Impeller/axle problem to me too. To remove excess air from the filter once its running hold it and give it a shake from side to side, any trapped air soon disipates.
I have shaken the filter many times, and air escapes when I depress the primer. When all air has escaped, I wait for an hour an repeat the cycle. However, the noise remains.
How long should I expect to wait for the air in the impeller shaft to dissipate?
(I am using pumice as filter medium - it is full of air, so maybe it will take extra long time?).
