I use sumps, and a canister by API never any problems with these at all. And I also use sponges

Fluval makes great small canisters. Very long lasting and trouble free. The FX models have the pump on the bottom which causes problems.

i have 2 406's on my 65 gallon and my buddy has a 105, 206, and a 306... and my other buddy has a 305. no complaints about any
