I stopped by Big Al's on the way home from work and was looking at the filter display tank with about 10 different canisters running. I noticed that the Eheims and Rena XP4 were absolutely silent (had ear on the filter). However, the Marineland C360 was awful noisey. Is this typical? I can't imagine Big Al's selling very many of those (unless the person has a hearing problem).

I have C-220 and it is silent, maybe they didnt have it hooked up right. Or there is a defect in that particular unit they hooked up for display. Either way they should re do it, cant imagine they will sell many if its really noisy in the store.
