Hi guys, I got a problem here! i have 2 stingrays and an aro living together and my only problem is when it is time for feeding! my aro is just too fast and he catches all the fish and my stingrays only get some. im afraid its inadequate for them.. what should i do? feed the rays glass shrimps which tend to land on the base of the tank and feed the aro live fish which tend to swim around the upper and mid section of the tank? secondly, how long can an aro last without food? thinking of starving him so he would go on pellets!

for feeding my ray i use a pvc pipe with hole dilled in it. so no other fish snatch all the food before it hits the bottom.and the rays no pipe =food. as far as feeding ur aro i give in after a week but i have a buddy that staved his for month. i dont have the guts to do it so instead i stuff pellets in to prawns.

x2 that is what i do too.

thanks for the ideas guys! yeap, im only feeding them live fish. when we say starving, does it really mean NO food at all during the period?

thought so try feeding other things as feeding live feeders can be very hazardus. try using pellots, cut up tilapia, prawns and other things. this will make feeding easier and also be alot better in the long run.
