For the Arrow. I started giveing mine crickets, so another "floating" live food thats size appropriate to your arrow to gte it to go after surafce food. then I introduced pellets into the waters current. It wasn't hard at all once he started takeing the pellets to wean him offa live compleately ( though he still did get live occasionally as a treat still, and never had problems afterwards w/ pellets)

as for the rays.. the pipe trick works on alot of bottom dwelling species to get food down to them.

but doesnt cut up prawn dirty the water very quickly?

with good filtration you do not have anything to worry about

it would suck to lose your favorite fish over a 10 cent feeder bringing in disease or parasites. if your dead set on feeders its better to bring your own this way you can gut load them and make sure they are disease and parasite free.
