non agressive giants for a 200?

I agree on the dojos as a good option, I really can't imagine the koi just eating them, it's not in their nature

Pacu's or Giant Gourmai's

I agree here. Pacu's are def. giants and they are not a predatory fish.

Carp are not fish eaters. Occasionally they eat a nymph or shrimp, but I dont think a fish.
The only fish eating cyprinids are the Hasu, the Squawfish, and the Asp.
I never implied carps are really fish eaters.;) There is a possibility however that they will eat a fish. These after all eat on the bottom so they may or may not scoff a fish by accident.

theoretically yes, but it is highly unlikely

Koi are undoubtedly more aggressive than goldfish, but it really varies by the particular specimen. I had a koi that ate all of the eyes out of goldfish tankmates and my friend had one that actually ate goldfish feeders whole :WHOA:, all of the others I've kept were very peaceful.

Correct. It doesn't matter if a fish is strictly herbivorous, and it doesn't matter what kind of fish it is. If one fish can easily fit in another's, it is possible food. There is always the risk with that combo. A 200 is not enough tank for a hi banded shark, giant gourami, nor a pacu. If you're bringing the koi in every year, I wouldn't add anything. The koi themselves are giants, especially for a 200. If it's a one time deal, then the balas and tinfoil idea would be great, and would look really nice. Silver dollars would even fall into that same grouping. You could pick two of the three and form a couple schools.

i have seen my koi go after my fancy guppies
i had 30 guppies all were picked up by my kois, in a span of three months or so
so i highly agree with lupin when he says that koi do eat whatever thewy can get their fins on and really don't care whether its veggie or not :D
