Although there are always exceptions, I think you will find the concensus to be no.
Poly's are not the fish to test that combo with.

bichirs got good armor but i dont think its piranha proof i wouldnt test it

thats why i was thinkin to put the bichir in now while he is so big an the piranhas are so small. the piranhas are only bout the size of a quarter maybe a little bigger.

They could still take a few fatal bites out of the bichir.. Even if they grow up together, nothing is guaranteed.

I would not trust it. Just put the fish in two different tanks. Better safe than sorry.
