Try smaller pieces of food. Squid is tough as far as seafood goes. If you try it, make sure it is cut really small. I found it's easier for me to cut up if it is still frozen. Thawed squid requires a very sharp knife to cut.

My Rays don't even look at them. They just skip over it. So far only basa is in their diet. I'm going to switch up with worms and shrimp next week

I been pellet training mine with some luck.. since morning time is when they are the hungriest, i mix chopped up fresh shrimp without skin and throw in the hikari carni sinking pellets.. both my young pups go crazy for them.. they still spit the pellet out a lil after chewing on it but but take about 80% of it.. i think i am on the right path.. soon they will only take pellets..

Be patient and keep trying.. only thing i do now is shrimp and pellets..

With my water parameters in this questionable state im going to hold off the pellets until it stablizes as it doesnt eat them and just rots in the water. Until then i will keep with the Basa and Silver Sides. Rays are getting frisky and water is turning cloudy every day. even with 80% water changes daily.. not sure its its sperm or bacteria bloom...

You need to remove any left over foods not let it rot in the water that's probably why you are having water problems

Also get some fish that will eat and left over food they will also stop food rotting

My water has finally cleared up! and it only took a month =_=;;. But i am still having problems with food. I cut my frozen foods extremely finely, yet my rays still seem to have trouble eating them. and they are big! The female in particular is having issues. The roles have reversed! she chews them up then spits them out. and now my Male eats everything fine! What is going ON? and i cut the fillets pretty small. definitely small enough for them.

You can't let uneaten food hangs round and rot, I give my rays a few minutes to eat and that's it, any uneaten food is either netted or syphoned out.

If you're cutting food up clearly small enough to be eaten and they ain't eating it then IMO the rays don't have trouble eating, they just don't wish to eat what's on offer.

Have you tried marinating foods together over night and then feeding in the morning when they are most hungry?
