It doesnt stop there. Adult sizes of your fish list are big.

Oscars = 12-14"
GT's = 12"+
Red Devils/Texas = 12"
Bala Shark = 12-14"
Convicts = 8"
Plecos = anywhere from 4" to 24" depending on species
Clown Loaches = 12"+ (though it takes a while)

as you can see, thats a LOT of fish :grinyes:

You've got time.

Though with those Oscars, not much time. lol THey grow about 1" per month. Within 4-6 months they'll be 4-6" bigger.
i agree his tank is way overstocked........male convicts only get six inches, females only get four and i've never seen a twelve inch GT(liveaquaria.com says they max out a 8 inches) so i don't agree with that..........

If you can't get rid of the fish put em up in the buy and sell. You could even maybe get a couple bucks outta them. With the oscars you will only be able to keep one and maybe the cat.

whatever.
i was just trying to make a point that they all get pretty big. A couple inches isnt going to make it a better situation.

I retract my previous measurment of GTs and Convicts.

the gouramis wont get too big but the oscars will get big and live long! i have seen oscars over 20 years old and they are almost 20" they are so old that there fins are bent over because they just lay on the bottom of the tank

what is the size of your tank in gallons?

my bala shark doesnt really grow that fast so you might be OK with that for a while

BTW: how old and how big are your oscars?

good luck with your fish keeping:thumbsup:

That's only 75-gallons...

The gouramis will be roughed around, the plecos grow too big, clown loaches need a much bigger tank, the barbs will get eaten, and the convict, green terrors, and texas/red devil are too nasty. All those fish need to go, plus atleast 2 of the oscars. That still leaves you with an overstocked tank:

2 Oscars (24 inches)
2 Bristle nose (12 inches)
1 Upsidedown Cat (12 inches)
1 Pictus Cat (12 inches)

You need atleast 3 gallons per inch of fish.

Obviously you don't need to get rid of any fish, you need more tanks.

Stack them.

If your living with parents rent some tank space from them (you may have to put (eck) pretty things in the tank to please them, like gravel etc).

Learn to sleep standing up so you can get rid of your bed, that frees up a bunch of room (small indoor pond!)

Think out side the box (just inside your room).

GOOOOD LUCK,

Dr Joe
