my bad thought that ? was for meoscar1st;3714513; said:If your wondering about RTC its Red Tail Catfish, does your eel have same gill problem?
well im going to need a bigger tank pretty soon so we might be able to work something out if i find a deal on a bigger tank, like a 300 gallon or somthing around there, i actually wanted to build myself one to save some cash but im clueless on what materials to use for a tank that big. never built a tank before and im kinda nervous about doing it wrong and getting leaks or the whole tank falling apart. LOLmaxin76;3713427; said:the tank is big enough for now but that is a water issue my tiger are 10 and 12 inches long in a 75g and they are growing just fine . im looking for a 125g for them .
i was going to build a pond for my RTC, peacock bass, andim thinking about getting a TSN cat eventually but i am going to be moving in about a year when i turn 18 how big would my RTC get in that time span? i was thinking of getting a tank that i might be able to transport when i movejustonemoretank;3714732; said:Try building a pond instead, because the 300 gallon won't last him long, either. Check out the indoor pond forum for ideas.

I've been meening to get a Fluval FX5 is that to big?
well im going to be getting a fluval FX5 as soon as posible and probably get rid of some fish cause i can't afford a biggern tank right now but im planning on building a very large monster tank or a pond. RTC might have the whole 125 g tank to himself soon cause his my favorite and i would sacrifice selling other fish, so if anyone is interested in buying some peacock bass or pacu i would be willing to sell cheap to save the fish but i can't deliver so if someone wants them you need to pick them upaloys;3715358; said:sigh......first how long has the tank been set up? has it even been cycled?
second, your filters have no chance to control that bioload....your fish are slowly dying
your RTC and pacu will eventually need true monster tanks to live a happy life. People say that a 600 gallon tank is the very minimum for an RTC with many thinking more like 1-2k gallons. Healthy RTC's with proper care can grow to be well over 3ft long and really need monster ponds.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but all of those fish in a 125 is only going to end with death.
