Does it count as noodling if I use noodles as bait?

Down here we call that "grabbling"; we use "noodling" to refer to a drifting trotline attached to a foam pool 'noodle'. I only ever catch turtles when I grabble. I've caught other fish by hand when snorkeling, but I don't think that counts.

I've caught a couple small common snappers (6" CL) while grabbling in weeds. Didn't get bitten, but it's definitely a risk. I have been nipped by crayfish.

Getting gnawed on by beavers and bitten by water mocassins in order to catch a catfish that might drown you is not my idea of fun.
