I've watched Steve since I was 3 years old....before all the fame etc....so i'm pretty bumed.

People here are pretty upset about it....

news just reported he wasn't killed doing the dangerous show stuff, was filming something for a kid show. So he died doing nothing that anyone that been to reef hasn't done. disturbed a burried ray.
 
huge ray man.........but that guy was like invincible or something, got wounded but never thought about this .......
 
i would have never thought a sting ray would do him in. i always figured one of his crocs would eat him or a snake would get him. he will be missed
 
doesnt matter which animal got him. im just gutted hes gone at all. he deserved his way out to be doing what he loved though, but it doesnt feel like now. he inspired my love for reptiles. ill never forget his personality. he did so much more than a lot of people give him credit for. stotty is dead on.
 
just saw it on CNN...very sad. Can't believe he was killed by a stingray when he was handling the msot dangerous snakes in the world. :(
 
im sad for his kids and wife and stuuf BUT
hes not verey popilar in aus did u no that ?? all you americans and english. etc love him but here we dont really think hes all that great.

i think that it is largly hes fault that he died as he is ONLY the THIRD person TO EVER die from a stingray in asutrlia AS thay are only of the most calm an plased animals in the sea they will only attack when the feal REALLY insucre and frigtened and i think stevev often puched the boundersy which IMO coused hes death (please dnot kill me for saying this )
