Thanks, I believe they get around a foot?...maybe a little less. They are very hard on each other...I started with 6, they slowly whittled away at each other. They have a tooth (or maybe teeth) in their upper jaw for slicing open snails and it works wonders at slicing each other up :( Get as large a group as possible in a very large tank or just get one.
