Normal jd behavior or stressed?

(Am I supposed to start a new thread every time I have a new question? Lol!) As I mentioned, I've had "Sid" for 4 days now. He does an awful lot of pacing-Is this just what they do? I feel like he wants out... :/ I took a video with my phone - can I post it on here? I can't figure out how...
 
You can post follow up questions on the same topic in the original thread you started, no need to start a new thread. This allows anyone to check what advice others have offered or for you to add more info on a specific issue.
 
Meant to also put it out there that my setup came with the Jebao blower. Do they need that on? Sometimes I turn it on to the lowest setting. The jd seems to sort of play with it but then the severum doesn't come out as much...
 
So, I decided to put up a black background - he darkened up a bit and calmed down... does that sound about right? He looks like a different fish...

looks like pretty normal behavior to me. I wouldn't worry about it. The color can change depending on surroundings, darker tank = darker fish usually, and if on white sub or with white background, fish will look washed out or white.
