North Jersey Aquarium Society (NJAS) is a non-profit Society whose purpose is to further interest in the aquarium hobby, to increase the knowledge of aquarium hobbyists with regard to the natural history and husbandry of aquatic organisms and to promote the conservation of aquatic organisms and their habitats.

The North Jersey Aquarium Society (NJAS) is one of the country's oldest running aquarium clubs. Since 1953, NJAS has provided a friendly outlet for the exchange of ideas, livestock, and recognition of local hobbyists just like you. Our Monthly Meetings every 3rd Thursday feature a program with guest speaker; an auction of uncommon, home-raised, and donated fish and plants (50-100 lots on average); bowl show; door prizes; raffles; sales table with great bargains; award presentations; and most importantly the chance to meet and mingle with hobbyists like yourself and renown aquarists including Dr. Paul Loiselle, Rosario LaCorte, Dr. Ted Coletti and Chuck Davis. Our location in Lyndhurst, NJ is convenient to several major highways, the Lincoln Tunnel, and a Manhattan express bus stop. First-time visitors are welcomed free of charge. We hope to see you soon!

Joining NJAS as a full Member has its privileges:

• Free admission to subsequent meetings with all the features listed above

• 10-15% discounts to independent aquarium stores around the State
